International Energy Forum Secretary General thanks Kingdom for hosting symposium
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, November 18, 2007, SPA- Minister of Petroleum
and Mineral resources Eng Ali al-Naimi will open here later today an international
exhibition on "Petroleum and Gas," which will be organized within the framework
of the activities of OPEC's Third summit, which starts its works in Riyadh on Saturday.
As many as 28 international petroleum and gas companies will participate in the
show.
He will also open on Thursday an international petroleum seminar on the occasion.
The participants of the Summit will focus on petroleum supplies and protection of
the environment.Secretary General of the International Energy Forum Arne Walther
has expressed thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for hosting the ministerial
symposium on the fringes of the Third OPEC Summit in Riyadh and hosting the secretariat
of the International Energy Forum.
He highlighted the importance of holding the summit and the topics discussed by
the ministerial symposium.
Walther spoke on the initiative of the joint oil information and said, "We agreed
on the importance of transparency and information availability for the security
of energy."
